Question

no audio on flashplayer 10

I do not get any sound on videos from YouTube or any other video using flashplayer. I have Wndows Media Player installed and anything requiring Media Player for the audio is fine, so there is nothing wrong with my speakers or sound card. I have been through the troubleshooter on Flashplayer 10 with no results. What could be the problem?

Hello lblan, I, like you and others are having a little difficulty with F.P. 10.

Following is what I did to solve my problem, try it if you like.

    1. Go to www.adobe.com/software/flash/about. Adobe will tell you if you

installed F.P. successfully and what version.

    2. If you are using Internet Explorer, go to Tools>manage add/ons, look

for Shockwave Flash Object. Left click on it to hi-light it, then look to the

bottom right hand side, "Update Active X"; click on that and wait until the

    update is finished.

    3. Restart Windows

Then go to the sites that you were having problems with and see if they work

    now.

Hope this works for you, let us know.

    Thanks

I'm running IE8 and tried your fix, but I could not find anywhere that said "Updated Active X".  Any other suggestions?
