Not Enough Permissions to Install Flash Player

I've had Abode Flash Player on my Macbook for two years now, but when I went to install updates I cannot finish, or begin for that matter, the installation because I'm immediately shown "Not Enough Permissions to Write Disk." I've erased Adobe completely from my laptop to retry and to no avail. I contacted Apple Support where we Verified the disk and repaired disk permissions. Adobe does not allow phone service to help with this issue and I would like to know if anyone has any insight on how to get this fixed. Thank you!
