NPAPI Flash problem with Tibia Game

OS: Windows 7 (x64)

Browser: Chrome 43

Hello,

I'm having a lot of trouble trying to use the Flash Client (NPAPI) to play a game called Tibia.

My scenario:

- Flash Client NPAPI 11.9 + Chrome = works great;

- Flash Client NPAPI 17 + Chrome = message saying that I've disabled the local caching of data, thus I have to download the ENTIRE game again everytime I want to play;

- Flash Client PPAPI 17 (pepper flash) + Chrome = no message regarding the local caching, but POOR performance.

So: I don't want to use Pepper Flash (PPAPI) to play. It sucks. The screen is not smooth as using the NPAPI plugin. Yes, I know the NPAPI support will be droped on the future, but for now, I wanna be able to use it.

If I try to use any NPAPI version higher than 11.9, the message "You disabled the local caching of data" appears and I have to download the game client everytime. I looked the settings of the flash plugin and IT IS SET AS UNLIMITED already.

If I use Flash PPAPI, on it's first use it displays a pop-up asking if I want to allow caching of Tibia, then I click to activate and it works, with cache and all. But, as I already said, it has a poor perfomance.

What can I do to use the latest version of NPAPI Flash Plugin with this game caching properly? I need to use the latest version of NPAPI because the browsers are blocking the version 11.9 that I use to play because it's so old.

    Hi,

    Please see NPAPI plugins don't work on Chrome version 42 and higher - Chrome Help for instructions on temporarily enabling NPAPI plugins on Chrome.

    Please not this comment at the bottom of the page "After the release of Chrome version 45, you’ll need to use an alternate web browser to load content that requires a NPAPI plugin."

    Hello,

    If you pay attention to what I wrote, you'll see that this is not the case. The NPAPI Plugin flag is ENABLED already, otherwise I couldn't even run the game with the version 11.9 neither the 17.

    My problem is: with NPAPI versions after 11.9, the Flash doesn't cache the Tibia game client. It just ignores it. Even though the setting of the local storage is set to Unlimited.

    I can only run the game I want to play using PepperFlash (doesn't matter which version) but it's freaking slow and has a frequent FPS drop, or with the NPAPI 11.9. Then the cache works great.

    I want to use the latest versions of the NPAPI Plugin, not an outdated NPAPI 11.9 or PepperFlash.

    It doesn't matter If I use Chrome or Opera, the behaviour is always the same: the local storage setting doesn't work on NPAPI versions after 11.9 with this game.

    The message with the Flash NPAPI 17 cache warning:

    The local store setting set to unlimited:

    Google has dropped support for NPAPI.  You can work around it through December, but it's ultimately going away.  The reality is that we're not going to invest in a target that's not going to be around for more than a few months.  We *are* working with Google to address some of the hardware-accelerated performance problems in PPAPI, but as you've observed, we're not there yet.

    If you go here, is "Store common objects to reduce file download times" checked?
