I'm on a desktop, using Windows Vista and Firefox.

I see that in my Programs, I have

Flash Player 24 NPAPI      21 January 2017 and

Flash Player 18 Active X   23 August 2015

Do I need to keep Flash Player 18 Active X   23 August 2015, please?    Thanks,  Keith

There are a few variants of Flash Player.  Flash Player for NPAPI is for Firefox and other similar browsers.  Flash Player for ActiveX is for Internet Explorer.  Flash Player for PPAPI is for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers.

You always want to run the latest available version of your browser and Flash Player.  The best way to accomplish that for Flash Player is to simply choose Allow Adobe to Install Updates (recommended) during installation.

To get the latest version for your browser, simply go here:

    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

We'll automatically detect your browser and provide you with the right download.  Once you run the installer and choose Allow Adobe to Install Updates, our auto-updater should keep everything current for you.

    Hi,

You can upgrade Flash Player on your system.

Open the browser of your choice (IE for ActiveX), go to get.adobe.com/flashplayer, download and install the deliverable to move to the latest Flash player i.e 24.0.0.194

    Thanks!
