OSX 10.11.2 Mac stalls in Safari. Adobe flash Safari Plug-in is showing 99.99% CPU

Since upgrading to OSX 10.11.2, my 2014 Retina Mac keeps stalling (you know the spinning wheel of doom) in Safari. When I look at Activity Manager, Adobe flash Safari Plug-in is showing 99.99% CPU (or sometimes over 100%?) and has hung. Upgraded Flash to 20.0.0.235. Still no difference. Apple support told me to go to System Manager and Flash Player and delete all Local Storage Settings and  Browsing and Data Settings. Did that and it works for a very short time then it starts all over again.

What is going on? I have tried to uninstall Flash but my 7 year old son wants to plays Lego games, so that's not an option

This did NOT use to happen.

Any ideas to correct this?

Thanks for the feedback.

Flash is a low-level technology.  Our job is to process software that content providers write and render it to the screen.  Much of what we do is similar to what an operating system is doing under the hood.

Knowing that someone is encountering a deadlock doesn't give us any actionable information.  To effectively identify and fix the problem, we need to reproduce it with a C++ debugger attached.

If there's a specific URL that you visit that consistent reproduces the issue, *that* would be super useful, and we'd be happy to take a look.

Hi there,

It is happening on all normal websites that I regularly visit.

www.bbc.co.uk

www.guardian.com

etc

I have to leave the page I am on, go to activity monitor force quit the flash player plug in and go back to the web page and all is OK again.

This has only started happening since i upgraded Flash player and OSX.

Thanks
