Password rejected after reset?

Question

I am trying to install Adobe Flash Payer on my Mac running el capitan. Installer asks for a password, which I have reset, when attempting to use this new password Adobe will not accept it. My usual browser is Safari and can use Google Chrome. HELP?

This is the OS, not Flash Player prompting for the password, as such, it's whatever you use (with admin permissions) to log into your system. see What userid & password do I need to install Flash Player? for more information
