Play/pause mode randomly changes after moving positioning slider

Windows 7 Home Premium; Firefox 40.0.2; Flash Player 18.0.0.232 and version prior

I often move the positioning slider to search through how-to videos on YouTube and other sites. In the past, if I had the video set to play when I moved the slider, it would continue playing from the spot I let go of the slider. If I had the video paused when I moved the slider, it would stay paused when I let go of the slider at the new spot in the video. Ever since .232 and, I believe, the version prior, when I have the video in play mode and move the slider, about half the time, it changes to pause mode and I have to click the play button to get it going again. I reverted to version 18.0.0.194 and it works the way it used to, retaining the play/pause mode set before moving the slider so I'm thinking this is probably a Flash Player issue. May not seem like a big deal to a lot of people but for someone who's job requires doing this all day long every day, it would be nice if this change would be reverted. I'm assuming it wasn't intentional to randomly change the play/pause mode after moving the positioning slider. Thanks.
