Player crashes when opening settings

Since I deactivated the hardware speed-up option  (display settings) the Player crashes every time when opening settings and doesn't work like it used to.

I unistalled and reinstalled the player multiple times with restarting my computer and clearing the cache and registry.

Still ... it doesn't work.

So now, I need help.

I'm using firefox and Windows 10.
