Playing downloaded flv files

Hello All,

Apologies in advance for my ignorance.

I've had a quick search of the forum but cannot find the answer to my problem.

Windows Vista Home Premium - Service Pack 2; Intel Core 2 Duo; 64bit OS

I have no problems viewing flash video on line.

I have legitimately (paid for as part of a course I'm doing) downloaded some flv files to view from the hard drive, rather than being on-line to watch them.  I have downloaded the latest Flash Player, however the videos won't run.  Adobe test page says it is installed correctly.  I've uninstalled, re-installed, shut down / re-booted, and still no go on the flv files.

Suggestions welcome - many thanks.

Hi, you might take a look at this link and especially item #4 since you are using Vista

Hi, hopefully someone will come along that can assist you. Until then, here is another link.

This link had some information about this along with media players. Perhaps Microsoft would have some info if you use the WMP.
