Please help

I am unable to use my flash play. When trying to go to a certain web site it says I need a later version which when trying to update it then says I have the latest version. It then says I need to turn off the Active X filter but when checking it is off. Also it says the Shockwave Active X control needs to be enabled but when I check it is enabled. I don't know what to do. Please help.
