please help as i am new to flash and action script

Please could some one help me as i am new to flash and fairly new to action script !!!

I need to create a flash based advert system that performs the following.

-          Extracts information from a DB in form of: images, title, descriptions.  This would depend on the product selected in the actual web page.   Images will be stored separately in a file, only the name of the image will be stored.

-          Allow for smooth transition from product to product, ie, extract information from DB, interpret and show the information in the form of a slide show (with transition from product to product).

I assume that this will require actionscript usage, unfortunately I am still getting to grips on flash.   

Can anyone out there help me?

    You're talking about a lot of stuff there (unless there are components that might do this).

    You might have better luck by compartmentalizing your problem.

    1) How do you connect and query a database

    2) how do you display dynamic text/ data in flash

    3) how do you deal with user interaction (selection)

    etc.

    See if you can solve any of these problems alone and if you can't then address the specific problem to the forum.

    At least that is how i've had success in the past with forum questions.

    You'll also have better luck if you post in the Flash authoring or Actionscript forums instead of here in the player forum (but for future reference please don't cross-post the same item multiple times.)
