For the past couple days I have regularly been having Plug-in Failure occur while watching videos in Safari primarly from http://xfinitytv.comcast.net‌  I briefly tried using Firefox and Google Chrome instead but also experienced issue with both of them.

System / Software Information

Late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina

Yosemite 10.10.4

Safari 8.0.7

Flash 18.0.0.203

It has happened primary with 18.0.0.203 but I also had it happen a couple times in late June with 18.0.0.194.  Links below are to the Console Crash Logs for the last 2 times it crashed.  I can provide additional if it is helpful.

I think I may be late to the game.  However, I just recently started having issues with flash not working / playing videos on Xfinity.  I've read through as many forums as I could find pertaining to my problem.

Flash is up to date.  Currently running the following:

NPAPI Plug-in version 20.0.0.235

PPAPI Plug-in version 20.0.0.228 is installed.

I have a Mac Book. iOS X Yosemite Version: 10.10.5

I've deleted "Browsing Data & Settings" under "Advanced" tab of -->System Preference --->Flash Player

Went back onto Xfinity video, still no change....just a plain black screen. No ads, no nothing. Just a quick little appearance of that blue circle going around once, then right to black screen.  I went through ALL the videos.  Nothing worked.

Then I clicked on the following:

Safari--->Preferences--->Advanced

You'll see the following option:

"Internet Plug-Ins" with a check box "Stop plug-ins to save power".

Now, for whatever reason, that check box had a check mark in it by default.  I unchecked it and closed out the window.

Went back onto Xfinity video and was able to view all videos right away! (ads included unfortunately. I'll take what I can get)

Through my extensive Google research, I failed to find any readable solution from Xfinity.  Just a "We're aware of the problem and have found a fix for some.".  Not so much as what exactly "the fix" was or how it was done.

Anyways....I hope this will help others who have come across this aggravating issue.

Hi,

I have checked Comcast videos on Mac 10.10 Safari 8.0 /Chrome 43 with build 18.0.0.203.

Videos are playing fine. Crash is not reproducible. Could you please share the particular Video on Comcast which crashes on playing.

Also please attach the screenshot of the crash.
