Poor HBOGO performance for Firefox and Flash player 24.0.0.221

Hi, apologies in advance if I'm using this forum incorrectly.  I'm used to the 'old-school' forums where it's just a straight list you read or post to.

I asked via direct message this question but was directed here.  So, here was the direct message content:

Hello, I'm inquiring about a performance issue with the most recent stable build of flash player. Are you aware of a problem where with Firefox (47.0 +) the latest release of flash player (24.0.0.221), HBOGO playback is choppy and audio falls out of sync with video, fullscreen mode? Prior to this release (I had the previous stable build -- I update each time it instructs me to do so), HBOGO playback was great. When starting a video one night a couple of weeks ago, I was informed there was a new flash player.  So, I updated. Now, performance is terrible. This makes it very difficult to suspect either HBOGO, my hardware, or firefox. The performance issue is very clearly on the side of Flash player. Please tell me this is a known problem to be addressed in next build? I'm suffering here, unable to enjoy my HBOGO subscription.

Oh, for info:  I've made sure hardware acceleration is (still) enabled, I've cleared the flash cache, and the browser cache.
