Problem downloading newest Flash player

I've been having issues just trying to get the updates that come out, so I decided to uninstall my old Flash player and install the newest one (which is what the Help section tells you to do). However, the intaller stops working when the initialization starts, and gives me the message "Installation encountered errors Actionlist not found". My computer satisfies the system requirements listed under that section, and the 10.3 version worked fine. Any ideas?
