Problem Global Security Settings

I am running Win-7 and Flash Player 12, and I try to modify the Settings Manager Global Security Settings panel to allow the play of SWF files from my c: and d: drives.

I click on “Global Security Settings panel”, I select “Always allow”, I click on “Edit location”, I select “Add location” I click on “Browse for folder” but no window appears allowing me to select my c:\ or my d:\ drives.

Can you help me please?

    Hi saf42,

Please enable the popups in the browser and try.

You might want to check with a different browser.

"Swing and a miss"... as they say. Good try, though.

The "Global Settings Manager" is in the control panel. The browse to find a folder or file to allow is Windows Explorer, not a browser. Pop-ups don't even come into play.

    To the O.P.

Try using the online settings manager: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html

Click the drop down where it says "Edit locations" and choose "Add location". Hopefully, it'll work.
