Hello. I'm experiencing some weird problem where I am unable to download Adobe flash player through Internet Explorer. I tried downloading it through Google Chrome and it lets me download it and everything, but when I try to use something on the internet, for example a game, It says "Playing X game requires Flash. Get Flash" even though I already have Adobe Flash downloaded.

When I download it, the program's name is Adobe Flash Player 20 NPAPI (Adobe Systems Incorporated), 18.1 MB.

I'm using Windows 7, 32-bit.

Please help.

    Hi,

Flash Player NPAPI is for Firefox, it's not for IE.  You'll need Flash Player ActiveX for IE.  If IE is not downloading installer files it's possible due to a setting in Internet Options.  You can still download Flash Player for IE by doing the following:

    1. Launch any browser and navigate to Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions
    2. In Step 1 select Windows 7
    3. In Step 2 select Flash Player for Internet Explerer - ActiveX
      1. Note that there is an optional offer than you can decline.  If you have any sort of ad-blocker enabled, you'll want to disable it to view the offer.
    4. Click Download Now to download the file to your local system
    5. Locate the file in your local system, double-click to launch and follow the prompts to install Flash Player ActiveX for IE.
