Problem with Application running through Citrix XenApp/Netscaler
Dear Forum,
I am having an issue with an application called ActiveTeach French Studio KS3 by Heinemann . This educational app has Flash games included
Operating system version -- Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard build 9600
Web browser and version -- Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.18525
Flash Player version -- Adobe Flash Player 23 NPAPI 23.0.0.207 && Adobe Flash Player 23 PPAPI 23.0.0.207
Explain your problem in step-by-step detail if possible -
Application is called ActiveTeach French Studio KS3 by Heinemann.
Application is hosted through Citrix XenApp and NetScaler. App will be accessed remotely.
When games are clicked, they do not work correctly.
Path to games tested : Run Application > Drop-down menu, select 'Le Studio Level 1' >
Window will pop up,select 'Games and Flashcards' > 'Games' > 'Module 1' > 'Wordsearch: Describing people'
No error messages, just the flash game does not work and does not respond.
Testing done : Connect through XenApp/Netscaler = Games glitch and do not respond.
:Remotely through Remote Desktop Connection = Games glitch and do not respond.
: On local machine(host) = Runs normally
I have corresponded with the application creators and found that the problem was 'enable flash player trusted location'.
I added exception using the instructions below,
"If you need to add the global permissions by machine then this could be done by adding the exception through Flash in the Control
Panel:
Click Start > Control Panel > Flash Player (32 bit) > Advanced tab > Trusted Site Locations > Add in examples above (or matched to your drive letter)
"
This method works for the user who is customizing the flash player settings in control panel.
However, if other Citrix or Microsoft Terminal Services (RDS) users login to the machine, the changes are not reflected.
Question : Is the any way to apply Flash player Trusted location exceptions to multiple machines?
