Problem with Flash Player and BBC.CO.UK sites?

I have a serious problem whereby the Flash Player does not work on ANY Flash Media embedded in the BBC.CO.UK domain.

Instead of a news video I get a black box that momentarily contains what looks like a large letter "C", usually in red or yellow.

Then nothing.

All the other UK News channels I can get no problem.

I have the latest flash player and have tried everything suggested in the FAQ such as taking out harware acceleration but

NOTHING works!

I hope someone can put me right as I'm now got to the "driven to distraction" phase!

PS I tried this on Firefox and IE8 and the results are the same on both platforms.

Using Windows XP, 32 bit

Thanks in advance,

Richard

Hi, Some websites require different Settings.

This one has helped some users:

    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html

The following ones, other websites require and I think the BBC sites do also. You may have these set, but including them.

    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html

    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

    Hope that's helpful.

When you right-click on the BBC Flash Player area, what options do you see?

(I can see videos fine at the BBC site.)
