Problem with installation of latest Adobe Flash Player

So I am trying to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player and it goes into my downloads. But when I click on it, it opens up another application called MATLAB and then does nothing. Theres nothing to click on and no installation anywhere. What do I do?
