Problem with sites not loading Flash...

Im having trouble with flash on some sites. It does not load on them. For example, if a site uses flash to play their videos, I press play and the video does nothing. I got the latest version of flash. It shows up on the test site. The Shockwave Flash Object add on is enabled. Ive tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing works. The problem occurs on both IE7 and Firefox (Primary use IE7). I also have Windows XP. Can someone help?

    To eidnolb

I said, I am sorry however you continue your bad words

slide2333, I thot you had read Dins' thread and understood that he had installed the prerelease and that Installer would not work. It appears that you didn't understand anymore than he did. I knew he didn't, but assumed you did. So I thot you were just telling him the wrong Uninstaller on purpose, since you told him more than once.

I do apologize to you as I don't think you realized what was needed to be done. That doesn't excuse my being short with you. You would be surprised how sometimes people will come on a thread just to cause problems. I thot that is what you were doing, so I am sorry that I misjudged you.

If you can help Din out with that "new" Uninstaller, I'm sure he would appreciate it. I have never installed a beta so I have no idea how to Uninstall one. I only gave him the information as to what needs to be done.

    Regards,

read the uninstall page carefully, after you finish the uninstall process restart your PC and open the Internet Explore and go to Adobe page to install the flash player

Din, don't listen to slide nor even bother responding to him. He only registered about 30 minutes ago and this is the  first thread he posted on, not bothering to read what has been discussed. Instead he is trying to tell you what you need to do.

Disregard him. I don't have time for this. He is just here to cause problems. Hopefully he won't be here long.

Thats what I did and it only made my problem worse. I followed the instructions exactly. It uninstalled, i restarted, and now when i try to download flash from the site it goes through the process but the flash test page doesnt work now. I just did this process again to get rid of the filehippo beta version.

    Hi ,

1- Go to this link to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control ( read the content      very carefully ) .

2- Go to this link to install the Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer or Other Browsers.

Hi Din, Go to Add/Remove and post back all Java versions listed. Then go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

Right click on the Flash folder and open and post back all files listed there. The NPSWF files you will need to right click on and then click on Properties to obtain the version numbers. Now if your operating system is a 64bit, the files will be in a different location, just let me know.

Thanks for the information you provided, that helps.

    Java 6 Update 20

    In the Flash folder:

    Flash10d.ocx

    Flash10e.ocx

    FlashUtil10e.exe

    GetFlash.man

    install.log

    swflash.inf

    uninstall_activeX.exe

Not sure what the NPSWF files are

well, I saw that flash had its own uninstall utility. i ran it, restarted and redownloaded flash. It went through the process of downloading, but after it finished the flash test screen did not work this time. Now all thats left in the flash folder is..

    Flashinstall.log

    FlashUtil10h_ActiveX.dll

    Getflash.man

    install.log

    This is getting very irritating
