Problem with text showing up in Flash products

Hello,

I've been trying to solve this issue on my own for the last day and a half but the problem keeps coming back.

I am using Firefox as a browser right now since Chrome is NOT working on my computer at the moment. Whenever I open a video on Youtube or anywhere else, all of the text associated with the video turns into these little capital "A" with a square around them. (Screen shot attached). I have disabled and re-enabled so many things in Firefox preferences, I've lost count. Is there a reason for this? I've noticed it across browsers too.
