    lly removed fp

Hi bp, If you Installed CS5, then with that, the beta version of Flash Player was Installed (the 10.1) It takes a special Uninstaller to remove it so you can then Install the "latest version" which is the 10.0.45.2.

    Go to this site:

    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

Page down and you will see the Uninstall Info, follow that for Windows. When finished, be sure to Reboot. Then you can Install the latest version of Flash Player with any of those links.

Hi  Frost, I would stay away from file hippo. For over a month they have been listing the beta for "the latest" Unless you know what you are doing and know how to find the "shipping version" that is what you will be getting.

I have no idea why they are doing this, they are installing the beta/RC prerelease versions (10.1) and have a problem and this is why they are getting the message about "the version you are trying to Install is not the latest version"

The latest version is Flash Player 10.0.45.2

THANK YOU SO MUCH eidnolb!! This has been affecting me for a few weeks using CS5 Flash Builder and Media Center, it was just the ActiveX plugin for IE I was having troubles with. Everything works perfectly now.

Hi, Post back your operating system, whether it is a 64bit or not. Also what browser(s) and versions?

Also, download the Adobe Uninstaller to your Desktop:

    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

    Don't run it yet.

After you post back the info I need, I'll post the links you need.

    Thanks,

windows 7, internet explorer 8, how do i know if its 64-bit or 32-bit?

    May 31, 2010

Hi bp, Using IE, click on Help, and then About Internet Explorer and should see x86 which is the 32bit browser. That is most likely what you have, you would know if you had a 64bit system. Flash Player needs to be used in the 32bit browser.

For the sake of time, if you don't mind, go to this thread and look for Post#11. I need the same information from you which you can post here if there are any questions that need answered in Post#11.
