Problems with Flash Player install

I use Notebook software for my Smartboard, and when I try to use the interactive gallery I get an error message that I must download Adobe Flash Player. I've tried several times, but nothing seems to happen and it's not showing up in my applications or utilities. However, the uninstall application does show up.  I've tried all the solutions mentioned on your support pages to no avail.  I am able to play games on Facebook that require Adobe Flash, so I'm not sure if I have it or not.  I use a MacBook with OSX 10.5.8, and have been trying to download version 10 of Flash Player.  Any suggestions you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever figure out how to resolve this problem? I'm using a macbook and I can't use the SMARTboard interactive activities because I get the same message that I need to install flash player. I have gone through the installation process but it still doesn't work. I go to the Adobe website and I am told that I have this version installed - You have version 10,2,152,26 installed - I can play flash in both browsers Safari and Firefox. I don't know what else to try.

Hi, Go to this Adobe test site and can you see the animation? It will also tell you what version of Flash Player you have Installed. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

The latest version is 10.1.82.76. Now did you use the Uninstaller first from here?

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html  You can download and SAVE it to your Desktop. There are instructions there for Mac according to the edition that you have.

This link is for the direct download. There are two places to Uncheck if you don't want the Google Toolbar and I'm not sure if the McAfee scanner is offered here or not.

Be sure to Reboot after running the Uninstaller and the Installer.

    Thanks,
