Firefox continues ot crash while visiting certain sites. Upon hours of troubleshooting, I have narrowed it down to the Shockwave Flash plu-in. I have disabled it, no moew crashing. I can no longer view ANY video in firefox. ie. in YouTuube, I click on a video, and the message appears, "you need to update your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video. Have done this 3 times now, still gives the same error message....any suggestions ?

Hi, The Shockwave Flash plugin is the Control that allows Flash Player to work. So by disabling it, you won't be able to view Flash content or videos.

My opinion is that there is something else that is clashing with the Shockwave Flash plugin. Say for example addon/plugin "A" is Installed and "A" is conflicting with Shockwave Flash plugin, but you don't know this. So you disable Shockwave Flash plugin and the conflict ceases. "A" is the plugin that is conflicting, so you need to find out what "A" is.

And naturally you receive that message when trying to view a video, since no Flash Player is detected, i.e. no Shockwave Flash plugin.

I'd look at your other plugins to see what might be conflicting.
