Problems with Flash Player programs

Using Windows 7 (64bit), IE8 (32bit, although the 64bit version is on the machine)

Purchased some instructional software created in Macromedia Flashplayer 8. When I upgraded to IE8 and the latest version of Flashplayer from Adobe, the functionality of the buttons that lead to other PDF files and media content stopped working.  However, the video will play in the program.  Have contacted the vendor and they have no solutions.  There was a hint that the problem was 32bit/64bit related.  Installed 'Square' and no change. Does anyone know of a fix or a patch for this problem?  Thanks

As long as you use a 32-bit browser with Flash Player 10.1, there should be no problem running on a 64-bit platform.

You could try an older FP version (10.0) to see if it works better, but it should really be the provider of your software that should give you a solution.
