processor speed for flash player

I see the new version 23 needs a 2.33 ghz processor speed. I got up dated automatically and now I can't load plugin. I am running 1.66 ghz ,windows xp ,sp3 with SRware Iron ver. 49. Does anyone know which flash player in the archives will work for me? My old one seems to have disappeared. The SRware site says I should be good with flashv23 but no luck. I think processor speed might be the culprit. Thanks, and I'm not ready to up grade.

    Hi coreyf73124382 ,

SRWare Iron is based on Chromium and uses the PPAPI Flah Player plugin.  Version 23 PPAPI plugin has a bug that prevents it from working on Windows XP and Vista.  This will be fixed in the next version of Flash Player, scheduled for release on the second Tuesday of the month (next week).  In the meantime, you can use the previous version 22.0.0.209 posted on the Archived Adobe Flash Player versions  page.

Thanks. With my processor speed a little slow, will it work, albeit not as good as it could? I take it watch for the announcement on the new release?

It'll work, however, you may encounter performance issues.

As for release notifications, you can register to receive notifications here Security Bulletins and Advisories , however, there isn't an option to receive per-product notifications.  If you register to receive notifications you'll receive notifications for all products.  Normal release cadence is the second Tuesday of the month. You can visit that same page on the second Tuesday of the month, or Adobe - Flash Player  to see if a new release is available.  Current release version is 23.00.162.
