question about how to make flashplayer work?

I have downloaded flashplayer, installed and successfully running, however, not able to still watch videos or load multiple pictures on facebook, and fb keeps telling to install flashplayer.  What am I doing wrong?  I am using Fire Fox, and my computer is 64 bit.
