I just found an old video on an old system. It's an flv video, and realplayer can't play it without adobe flash player. I did not know .flv requires flashplayer.

    Thanks. I tried SMPlayer and it does work. And the videos were not worth saving as it turns out, but I know it works. Also downloaded a couple video transcoders from portableapps.com. Will try those also.

    VLC Media P layer may be an option to view .FLV files
