Question

Real player downloader no longer works on Flashplayer current version

I no longer get the 'download this video' prompt on flashplayer when viewing videos, e.g. from YouTube or other sources. Is there a solution? Or can I go back to an earlier version that allowed this?

I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit installed and use Firefox as my default browser. Have tried Chrome with same result.

Please help or advise.

RealPlayer doesn't play well with other video plugins or apps. I know this from personal experience and years of testing. You have Firefox, so get Ant Video Downloader. It's a plugin for Firefox, so it's smaller than RealPlayer (saves you HD space) and it's already running when you open Firefox. It's "one click" easy, works with EVERYTHING but "pay per view" YouTube videos, and DailyMotion (because they use a download blocking script), and best of all it WON'T have any conflicts with Flash Player. I've used it since it was first released, and have never had any problems with it.

Thank you for this info. I've disabled my Real Player downloader and

installed the plug in. It seems to download very slowly, at less than 100

kb/sec. Am I missing something or is this how it works and what I should

expect. I have a high speed internet connection.

There's another Plugin that's "choking it". Mine did this too suddenly last month, I don't know which plugin it was, but I think it may have been Blocksite, because when I reinstalled Firefox, I didn't add that one again and I'm back to 3.5MBPS average.
Go through and disable Plugins one-by-one to see which one "unleashes" it.
