Reliable/Functioning version of Flash Player 9

To keep this short and simple, we already know Flash Player 10 is very very buggy and for many users like myself have issues using 10.1.  It's great to have this free software but when so many websites rely on such free software, it kinda gets a bit annoying.

All my info can be seen here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3224824#3224824

I've called Adobe tech support and they wanted $39.99 to troubleshoot the issue.

I just want to downgrade to Flash Player 9.  I used to have FP 9 but accidently upgraded to 10.1.  When I wanted to downgrade back using Adobe's website, website's like Youtube claim that I needed the latest version 10.1.  This hasn't happened in the past, I've used Flash Player 9 flawlessly without getting this message.

If anyone could help that would be much appreciated.

Hi, I didn't see any of your information on that thread. However the link for FP vs 9 that you asked for and Pat gave you hasn't changed.

Yea i've tried downloading from there and Youtube still required that I update to 10.1

Hi, I'm sure they do, as they most always update to the latest Flash Player. That is one of the problems in using an older Flash Player version. I suppose if using youtube is important, then updating your Flash Player would be your answer.

I have the latest version (10.1.102.64) on my 9 year old Dell/XP/SP3 and have no problem; in fact I always update to the latest version when it is out.

    Thanks,
