Removing old add on versions

Question

I have just updated the Adobe Flash Player add on for Firefox to the 18.0.0.209, but the older version, 11.6.602.108, was not automatically removed from add on manager by updating and there continues to be a warning flag on that version. Is there a simple way to remove the old version without having to uninstall Adobe Flash Player entirely?

Hi robertj51654621,The best way to completely remove old files from the system is to perform an uninstall and then re-install Flash Player. This ensures all old files are removed from the system. Please see the FAQ How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?--Maria
