I've been trying to find a way to install the working Flash player 10.2 on my laptop but the installer forces you to installed the flawed 10.3 release is there a way a 10.2 installer that actually works and dosen't force you to install the flawed 10.3 can be uploded ?  the debug and the norm floders produce the sme result of exiting out of the intstaller and forcing you to download the current version.

    Hi,

I'm sorry you're running into this issue with the installer.  Can you take a look at my reply to your other post?

Tried that file both of them display the "you must download the current version" instalation error Dialog the fp_10.2.159.1_archive\10_2r159_1\flashplayer10_2r159_1_winax.exe and the fp_10.2.159.1_archive\fp_10.2.159.1_archive\10_2r159_1_debug\flashplayer10_2r159_1_winax.exe

the file is effectively rendered useless by that dialog

Replied by email, but posting again for anyone else following along.

Running the windows installer located here should stop this warning from appearing.

    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe

This specific uninstaller should remove the registry keys that are causing the dialog that warns about the current version.  If that doesn't help, and you feel up to it, you can also accomplish this by manually deleting the following registry key:

    32bit windows:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\SafeVersions

    64bit windows:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\SafeVersions

    Hope this helps,

    Chris
