Running Steam

I am trying to get Windows 8 to run Adobe Flashplayer in steam and I cannot get it to work. I try installing a flash player that is for other browers, but it says that I already have it installed (since I do). Is there any way around this, or am I just mentally retarded.

Download and install this version:

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Once installed, restart Steam and you should be good to go.
