Saving images from a website using macbook

I need to save an image from a specific website when I right click on the image (control click) a menu pops up with the following options:

Settings....

Global settings...

About adobe flash player

It also does not work to simply slide the image to my desktop.

It sounds like the image isn't simply an image, but is really Flash content. I'd recommend taking a screenshot (see this post for details on how to do this depending on your OS) if you can't get to the original jpg/png/gif/etc.
