Setting windows freeze on right click

Hi,

English is not my first language and hope you will understand me anyway

I have a macbook pro with snow leopard 10.6.8 and latest flash player version 10.3.181.34.

I have the same problem since one year and using several versions of flash player :

When i go on  websites like skyblog that require camera autorisation this windows freezes and i can not click anywhere on it. Il i right click on the flash content to open the setting window it also freezes. The only way to navigate inside those windows is to use the tab key and the return key on the "close" button ...

I first though it was due tu the website so I tried on youtube and also on adobe : the setting windows freezes too. I can not click anywhere and modify parameters.

I can use the global parameters setting that open the pref pane on mac or use the global parameters setting on adobe but this solution is not good the many reasons :

You must have visited the website before

You give permanent autorisations

It does not work on private navigation (no website to allow appears)

...

I have this problem with firefox, safari and also chrome that seems to have its own flash player plugin.

I searched a lot on the web and did not find solutions. Many people wrote about this but no one give any esponse.

I recently reinstalled my mac for other reasons and did the test : it worked the first time and then i had the same problem ...

I have also a computer on dual boot windows/ubuntu. Flash works perfectly on windows but I have the smae problem on ubuntu !

I'm wondering why anybody tryed to solve this problem : I posted on several forums and did not get reponse

Hello, I'm sorry you are having so many problems. The Flash Player Forum does not have any Helper that troubleshoots Mac. I don't use Mac, so can't help, other than give you this Mac Troubleshooting Guide on Uninstalling Flash Player and Installing Flash Player. If it doesn't help, then the Apple Discussions would be better able to help you.

The first thing is to make sure you have Flash Player correctly Installed. Then find out why it may not be working as it should.

    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html

https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa        You must enter Mac in the selection field

Also you may receive help on one of the Adobe International websites:

    http://www.adobe.com/mena/support/forums/

    http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa

Hope this info will help you. If anyone sees your discussion that can help, they will.

    Thanks,

    Thank's for your reply

Flash is correctly installed and working except the problem i describe, i'm not really a beginner.

I have the same problem on osx and ubuntu and tried discussions on websites about those OS ... No one seems to be interested to study or solve this problem there and here I'm surprised because a lot of people posted.

I have a problem with flash player by adobe i guess i post at the right place ...

Thank's for the links but i've already been there before posting

Hi thanks. Glad you are not a beginner! I'm surprised that Apple discussions were not helpful. It's one thing making sure Flash Player is Installed correctly and finding a conflict. Some addon/plugin I suppose can cause problems with Mac, just as they can with a PC.

If you can see the Flash Player logo(Red F) animate(spin) with each browser, then Flash Player is Installed correctly.

    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Now if it's not working as it should, then something else is causing a conflict with Flash Player. Anything in the browser would be the first thing to consider, since Flash Player works thru the browser.

Yes, you are posting in the correct place if you are having a problem with Flash Player. The problem is not a lot of Mac users can help.

I do hope you can find a solution. You might try to describe exactly the problem. I really didn't understand it all.

    Thanks,
