Shockwave Flash keeps crashing in every browser (Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E540, Windows 10)
Since several weeks shockwave Flash keeps crashing in every browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge) on my Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E540 with Windows 10.
Most of the time the browsers freeze for several minutes until a Shockwave error message (about shockwave being busy and not responding) appears.
Sometimes the browser freezes permanently, so I have to use the task manager in order to close it.
I can't use 90% of the internet as it is!
I already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
Updated Windows 10
Updated graphic and sound drivers
Run sfc /scannow
un- and re-installed shockwave (latest version) and flash player (latest version)
disabled hardware acceleration
Sometimes one of the above steps solves the problem. The last time updating the graphic drivers did help.
But it never lasts longer than a few days. Suddenly Shockwave starts crashing again. And again in all browsers.
And now it tells me that my drivers are up to date, so I don't know what else I can do.
I'm very desperate, because I can't really track down the cause of the problem and didn't find a way to permanently fix it.
But I found several postings across the internet from people experiencing the same problem. And everytime it started with the installation of Windows 10. And often it's a Lenovo system.
I hope this information is helpful.
I'll appreciate any help!
