Shockwave Flash unresponsive

When I an in any web-site I keep getting the error " Shockwave Flash may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the plugin now, or you can continue to see if the plugin will complete." I have to choose to "stop plugin", which closes the site because if I hit "continue" the site stays frozen. I am using windows 8 and this has never happened until Flash updated yesterday. What can I do to resolve this problem?

First, please reboot your machine.  An update to Flash Player shipped with Internet Explorer via Windows Update yesterday, as well as through other distribution channels for various browsers.  It could be that your machine is in a funky state where the versions in memory don't match the versions currently installed.

If the problem persists after rebooting, please provide more information, like the browser and version you're using, and a link to URL or URLs that demonstrate the problem.  I'd be happy to have someone take a look.

    Thanks!
