Shockwave refuses to work on my computer. Please help?

Here is the problem I'm having:  I cannot play flash videos in any browser, and I've tried three:  Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Google Chrome.  I also cannot play any of my personal videos saved to my computer.  The problem was only a minor annoyance at first, but now it is starting to really stress me out.  I cannot view some important videos without flash, and I am at my wits end.

Here is what I've tried to fix it:  I've tried the individual browser fixes found on most help websites for Chrome and Firefox.  Most of them talked about having multiple plugins, but I did not.  I have tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the software, and I've tried updating it to the newest version.  When all of those things failed, I attempted a system restore.  This managed  to temporarily fix the problem for about a week, until it started it again.  I did another system restore from an earlier save point, and everything worked perfectly for about 24 hours, and now it is almost unbearable.  Although I cannot watch video in any of my browsers from sites like Facebook and various other places, I do still get video in YouTube.  I have also tried the hardware acceleration fix, I've cleaned out old files, run virus checks.  I honestly do not know what else to try.

Other helpful information:

I'm running Windows 10 OS, the newest version of flash for the 32-bit system.  19.0.0.185, and Mozilla 41.0.  If you need any further information, please let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to help me.

(If I have mistakenly put this thread in the wrong place, I am sorry.  I've never visited the discussion forums before and don't know my way around.)
