    Hi colossus928,

Thanks for checking. So we have the latest version of Flash Player in all browsers. FF & Chrome (32bit) are both working with youtube.

Now if you use the 32bit browser for Safari, is youtube working?

If it is, then you must use that for Safari.

    Thanks,

This is Adobe's download page for previous versions

    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html

Scroll down to ARCHIVED VERSIONS / older archives

Hi pbaker2011, So your solution is to repeat what we already do here on the Flash Forum? And to an answered thread?

Please stop posting links to the threads. We've known about Uninstalling Flash Player & Installing for quite some time, LOL

I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit, and I found that as soon as I updated to Flash 10.2.152.26 all my browsers (Firefox 3.6.13, IE7, Chrome 9.0.597.98) froze when I tried to access a site with Flash, so no possibility of disabling hardware acceleration. Spotify and iTunes also froze for some bizarre reason. I uninstalled 10.2, downloaded FP10.1_archive.zip and reinstalled 10.1.9.82.76, since when everything seems to be back to normal. Unfortunately 10.1.82.76 has a security flaw, so I would like to upgrade to 10.2 if only Adobe could solve the problem. I see plenty of posters with a problem but no sign of any solution. Any one from Adobe out there can offer one?

YoutTube Diego, an employee handling the complaints said earlier

today that YouTube engineers are working on the problem, and to check

back at the Google Help forum for updated information later this

week. I suppose we are gonna have to wait on Adobe to figure out

what is going on. They do have a customer support page but i am not

sure if the support is gratis.

Since you got everything to work on the prior version, i would guess

the best thing to do at this point is to keep using ver 10.1 and wait

until they fix version 10.2 .

My husband's computer crashes as in BSOD every time he tries to watch a YouTude video.  We have been following troubleshooting procedures all afternoon (about 4.5 hours) and still no luck.  I hope Adobe gets this fixed soon.  This is a software bug, not a hardware problem...

anyway, thanks so much for the support .

Hi colossus928,   I hope that works for you.

Please mark your thread as answered. Since your OS is a Mac, I don't understand why other comments relate/related to a PC, LOL

    Thanks,

Note: Again, anyone on this thread that needs assistance, please start your own discussion with computer/browser information.

This problem seems to be related to the new change in adobe flash player. It seems to me that You Tubes main screen player is not compatible to make use of the new changes in version 10.2 this is a description of the new change that was made in order to make our video playback experience better.

    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/stagevideo.html

The temporary solution that i have been seeing posted by youtube is to  uncheck "hardware acceleration", and then the video will play in the main YouTube window. However that disables the above advances ,and if i remember correctly hardware acceleration has been in use since like Windows98. So why would i want to have software do the job instead of the hardware? and tie up the CPU with video demand instead of offloading it to the video cards GPU [i think that is the idea of the improvement according to the link i posted just above].

When trying to view videos on the Youtube main screen:

I noticed that if you click the popout icon in the right lower corner of the main player, that the video will play ,and also if you go to the subscriber channel where the file was uploaded, you can play it there as well. [for windows users].   Seems that mac users can not use the popout feature because the popout option control isnt visable when using Mac's [according to some replys i received].

Been reading alot of posts on Google for past few days. Seems that some people are experiencing ability to view YouTube videos normally in one browser but not the other [i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome].  I cant view in any of them. Im beginning to wonder if it depends on what video card [and drivers] that a computer has, with relation to this new Adobe update??????

Ive posted complaints to Google/youTube and Adobe relating to this issue. I hope it can be resolved soon , perhaps they will write a patch file for this.

Hi colossus928, I have noticed a post by 2Hooves about an extension for Safari called "clicktoflash".

I would advise against downloading and Installing this until it can be further checked out. This appears to be a "Flash Block"

program of some sort. I don't have time at the moment to gather further information.

There are too many viruses and other malware very active right now. I know Mac doesn't normally need to be concerned. However any "extensions" to the browser can have a negative effect.

    Thanks,

Well, I figured out a fix for Safari in Mac as I had the exact same problem.

If you go to File -> Preferences -> Extensions and then click on "Get Extensions", you'll be sent to a page where you can download extensions. There is one called "ClickToFlash". Install it. It acts as a place holder for flash videos, so it'll wait for you to click a video to play it (it has an interface different from Youtube's). I've also heard that a similar method works with Mozilla if you can find the right plug-in for it, but that was for a similar problem a while back. I hope this helps!
