I've spent over 2 hours following the advice on this site.  I'm running Mac OSX 10.5.8, and Safari 5.0.6, and trying to run Flash Player 10.3.183.90

I've emptied the trash and reset and restarted Safari and the Mac many times.  I've deleted all past versions of Flash from the Library in "internet plug-ins" "macromedia" and "application support."  I've successfully uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player several times.  I've enabled plug-ins, cookies, and "safe" files.   Help and Thanks!!!

This version is about 4 years old. A lot of transformations have happened to Flash since that time, including hardware acceleration (v11+ ) etc.
Obviously these sites are using newer features and have set a minimum version requirement, because they couldn't run anyway in such an old version.
But they should have informed you about their minimum requirement.

Most likely these sites don't like that old Flash Player version; there is nothing you can do about it.
