SSF2 Won't Work

Question

Can't open SSF2 due to Hardware Acceleration mode bugging the game entirely, with a grey screen. I can't open settings nor global settings, I have Adobe AIR Runtime, I tried EVERYTHING to get it back to normal but it still won't work. Nothing has changed at all. I even reinstalled AIR and it still won't work. Any suggestions or fixes?

Hello,That grey screen issue is incredibly frustrating because the setting causing it is saved outside the actual game files—which is exactly why reinstalling Super Smash Flash 2 (SSF2) or Adobe AIR didn't fix a thing. When you toggled Hardware Acceleration, Adobe AIR wrote that preference to a persistent local SharedObject (.sol) file hidden deep inside your computer's user data directories. Since reinstalling doesn't wipe out these user profile data folders, the game keeps reading the corrupted configuration on launch and locks you out before you can right-click to open settings.Best RegardsTeachers Pay Teachers
