Standalone Flash Player Crashes On bitmapData.hitTest()

Help.

The Flash game "Flak Cannon" from my book, The Essential Guide To Flash Games, dies in the latest 10.1 stand alone player in CS5.  It runs perfectly fine in an HTML page, and it runs fine with pre 10.1 stand alone players, but in 10.1.52.14 it explodes.

I logged this bug during the Flash CS5 viper beta, and I was told it was fixed.  In fact, I confirmed the fix during the beta.  However, it seems to have crept back into the player.

I need help to do one of the following:

1. Give readers a work around that still utilizes the bitmapData.hitTest() function, as the whole chapter is based on it (oops!)

2. Tell readers where to download a player that works.

3. cry.

I've already commenced #3, but would like help achieving #1 or #2.

Here is a link to all the files for the game:

Thanks,

Steve Fulton

    Would that be 10.1.85.3 or 10.1.102.64 ?

Anyway, I have just tried your game with the SA player 10.1.102.64 and did not encounter any problems.

Do you know where to download the latest stand-alone players?

From the Flash Player download page http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html (easily found via Google).
