Sudden Lag while flash player running.

Hello, about a week ago or maybe older with suddenly while watching videos/streams my whole computer will lag. The mouse suddenly studders across the screen and if I try playing a video game while a youtube video for example is in the background not even playing, I will have random computer freezes then will come back after 10-20 seconds. This ONLY happens while a flash video is open, with weeks of testing of it, and also happens in firefox, and IE so I think i've eliminated the browser as being the issue. Has this ever been heard of lately and is there a way I can find old flash players to try? Any ideas would be very helpful thank you.

BTW should add, I used to be able to only a few weeks ago watch 3 live streams at once, and It was normal for me to watch a stream and play a game like minecraft at the same time while watching with no lag like this.

My computer specs ---> http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1592303

Also to add, I can close the flash videos, and RIGHT away the lag does go away. Another way I know its flash player. Also games run fine as long as I have no video/stream open in background.

I'm having the same problem here on XP, brand new install, fresh drivers 200+ security updates after service pack3 etc.

The whole computer slows down during playback, even if the video has been downloaded many times.  Flash based games that could run on an old cell phone also lag or act choppy.

It is chopping up visually but sound is flawless.

CPU usage hit the 100% and stays there, while I can watch ANYthing in VLC or in WMP and it all works fine, with cpu being much more relaxed in the low 50's.

I have CCleaned everything many times, defragged, before and after fresh instal, IE or firefox same thing, even compiled flash games (that dont go through a browser to work)   that should run flawlesly on a 386 stutters.

What bothers me the most, actually driving me nuts, is that it used to work just fine.  video playback was never an issue before in older versions of flash.

Connection has nothing to do with it, since downloaded video do not improve.

I also tried various screen resolutions and nothing improves or worsen the higher or lower it is.

Now I know it can be botched programming, but I also know it can be fixed, since it used to work before!!

mines a little different then just chopping as it does do that when not playing a game but it tottally freezes my computer for a good 10-20 seconds while for example playing a windowed game like minecraft while watching a stream. I used to do this all the time with more then even one stream going and playing a game all at the same time just for past month or so now cant do it all of a sudden, and computer is fine besides when flash player is opened then does the choppyness of the mouse/everything untill i close flash player or if I am playing a game and trying to watch something it will freeze everything. i have also done many reboots, cccleaner, a memtest, defragged uninstalled all programs i dont need, i've done a lot to try to fix this issue and just seems to be one of the new flash player updates that is causing it

While I do not quite see the need to watch 3 live streams at the same time, and simultaneously play a game, Flash Player should still be able to handle it.

What I recommend is to recycle the browser once in a while; both browsers and Flash Player tend to forget allocated memory ("memory leak"), which may lead to the situation you observe.  Restarting the browser may fix this for a while.

I am having this same problem.  Flash video lags / freezes.  Oddly, the audio plays normally.

Windows XP, IE8.  Same video streams did not have this problem a month ago.  The problem occurs even if the .flv files are on my local hard drive.  Other media players for other formats have no problem.

Any ideas out there.  Have tried uninstall / reinstall and various process monitoring software without any clue what's happening.

    I have a similar issue.

When streaming a video, off Hulu, Netflix, anything of the sort, after 10-15 minutes of video, my CPU maxes out (core i7) all 4 cores at 99%.  Streaming is extremely slow, stuttered and about 1 frame per second, if that.  Audio streams perfectly, never any interruption.   If I close the tab streaming video (firefox, chrome and IE all did this) the CPU will recover slowly.  Windows 7 32bit, latest flash installed, corporate data connection, used to stream perfectly with zero issues.

I have this problem as well. Flash used to run fine.. During the past week or so it started to lag very bad, even with ads and a non-playing video having an effect. The sound has not been effected by this.  If I lower the quality to 260p on youtube, or set it to low quality on other videos, it can help, but mostly it's just choppy  and it wasn't this way before..

I turned off my computer ( which also installed some update, don't know if that had anything to do with it) and turned it back on and now things work fine. I also reinstalled an old version of Flash but Google Chrome still says it's the newer version, so idk.
