Swf and FLV not playing.

Hi.. I am in a bit of a jam... I had a local website that used to play presentations interactively as well as FLVs driven by SWF files...

Now, nothing that is flash-related plays! on Chrome, if I press a button that calls a swf. it open a save as window!

If I click to play a swf that hold an flv, the player shows up, the green bar keep moving as if it was loading, but nothing happens...

BUT!!! I am able to play the swf, if in dreamweaver I press F12 to load it to explorer.. (but it won't play in explorer if I try to right-click the html file and open in explorer)
