SWF Course files after Adobe discontinues Flash

Hello I am not super techy and am not sure I understand exactly what will happen in Dec when Adobe ends Flash but I want to be prepared. I have several courses created in Camtasia and Captivate that have SWF file outputs and I am not sure what I need to do to transfer them over and what will happen if I don't? Also, are there any webinars out there by Adobe explaining any of this? Thank you.

Yes, the bottom line is that you will need to republish your course to some other format.  The reality is that your students already have to jump through a number of hoops to get your course to play, and depending on the browser, will encounter more friction well before the end of the year.

Current versions of Adobe Captivate definitely allow you to publish to formats that don't require Flash Player.  Captivate is not my area of expertise, but the folks in the Captivate community can probably help you figure out the best worfklow based on what you have for source material, and what you want to output to (which will most likely be informed by the technology to deliver the courses you're publishing).

Here's a link to the Captivate community:

There is no question of transferring over, or converting, or any other loophole. The idea is that SWF will stop working. The work of preparing the course needs to be done all over again, to make a more modern course.
