The Adobe Flash Player crashes on Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I can view normally videos for 5-10 min., after that they are jerky , after that I can view them frame by frame, and after 15-20 min. the video stops/freeze, but you can still hear the sound (the sound is also affected) and the Adobe Flash Player crashes (all my browsers). I restart my computer, but after 15-20 minutes it crashes again. This problem happens from the end of September. I have disabled hardware acceleration, but the problem persists.

My system: Microsoft Windows XP Professional-32bit, Version 5.1.2600,Service Pack3.

The Antivirus I use is :AVG Free-version 9.0.872.

Firewall: Windows Firewall.

Browser I use: Mozilla Firefox-version 3.6.12 and Google Chrome-version 8.0.552.215 and I don`t use Internet Explorer.

Adobe Versions:on Mozilla Firefox-vers. 10.1.102.64 and on Google Chrome-vers. 10.1.103.19.

The extensions on MF:AVG Safe Search, AVG Security Toolbar, Conduit Engine and Softonic-Eng7 Community Toolbar. I disabled all my plug-ins, except SWF plug-in.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash  :

Flash10l.ocx

FlashInstall

flashplayer.xpt

FlashUtil10l_ActiveX

FlashUtil10l_ActiveX.dll

FlashUtil10l_Plugin

install

NPSWF32.dll

Please help me, I don`t know how to fix it and it`s driving me crazy. HELP!!!

Hi, sorry to reply so late. I have disabled what you told me to disabled and I left enabled only the AVG addons and I also run a full scan with AVG and found no infection. I have installed Flash Player on FF and also in IE(although I don`t use it) and there`s no change at all. In IE should I have installed also "Import SCCM/ConfigMgr SCUP Catalog" and"Import SMS Catalog"? I don`t know what more can I do? Should I disable AVG Link Scanner?   I also want to thank you ,for waisting your time helping me. Thank you so much.

Hi, Thanks. Don't do anything with "Import SCCM/ConfigMgr SCUP Catalog" and"Import SMS Catalog"? That does not apply to you.

Glad there was nothing found with the AVG Scan.  Go back to the Flash folder and post back the Flash files you now have Installed.

Let's make sure they are all there.

Using IE, go to Tools, Internet Options and click on the Security Tab. Do you have it set to Medium for the Internet Zone?

Using FF, go to plugins and is the Shockwave Flash listed and Enabled?

Using IE, go to Tools, Manage add ons and is the Shockwave Flash Object listed and Enabled? Is it version 10.1.102.64?

Let me know if you are getting any messages from the video websites. Also can you view Youtube videos?

I wouldn't make any changes right now until I have the information from you. Right now just check these things and answer my questions please. I want to make sure the Flash Player and the above are all correct first.

Then we can move on to the LinkScanner.

    Thanks,

Hi, here are the information you asked: my security level for internet is set to medium-high; on FF the SWF is enabled and also in IE. Videos on youtube and on other sites that require FP work for a few minutes and after that it happens how I described it in my first post and then the FP crashes all my browsers. My Flash files are:

    Flash10l.ocx, FlashInstall, flashplayer.xpt, FlashUtil10l_ActiveX, FlashUtil10l_ActiveX.dll, FlashUtil10l_Plugin, install, NPSWF32.dll.

My flash files are not  correct? Or am I wrong?

Hi, At this point what I would do is this:

SAVE the Adobe Uninstaller to your Desktop:

    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Go to this site and SAVE the correct Windows (plugin browsers) Flash Player Installer (for FF) to your Desktop:

    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

If you want Flash Player Installed in IE, use the correct Windows, EXE Installer and SAVE it to your Desktop at that same link.

Be sure to use the Administrator Account and Close all browsers, first the Uninstaller and when finished Reboot.

Then use the Installers, and Reboot.

I have done what you told me, but it happened again after 15 minutes. What should I do? I just want videos to work fine, is it to much to ask for. I forgot to mention something about my Internet Explorer browser-it`s an 128bit , but I don`t use IE. I also want to mention that before uninstalling I have closed all the browsers and disabled Yahoo Messenger, but I didn`t disconnect from the internet and I also didn`t disabled AVG and SWF Plug-in on Mozilla Firefox and after installing Adobe Flash Player and MSI Installer successfully I haven`t enabled hardware acceleration. Please help me. I`m desperate. Thank you.

Hi, Sorry to hear that. Your IE is fine for 128bit, I use XP/SP3 and have the same and no problem. It seems as if you did everything correctly. There is no need in disabling the SWF plugin in FF so that would not cause any problem.

You can keep the hardware acceleration off for now. There is something that is preventing you from viewing videos and whatever it is, it is affecting all 3 browsers. That is if you Installed Flash Player in IE.

Using IE, go to Tools, Internet Options and click on the Security Tab. Do you have it set to Medium for the Internet Zone?

Regarding AVG, it didn't seem to block your Install, but some of the components can cause a problem. You may want to disable any AVG addons/plugins/extensions and see if that makes a difference. Also AVG has a Toolbar, so you could disable it also.

They also have a LinkScanner. Do you know how to find that? I'll give you the info, but it will have to be tomorrow, since it's very late in my time zone.

One other thing, I don't know what this is that you listed: ( Conduit Engine and Softonic-Eng7 Community Toolbar)

I have never heard of this, so I would disable it. Try these things for now and I'll check your thread tomorrow.

Let me know if you are getting any messages from the video websites. Also can you view Youtube videos?

    Thanks,
