Question

The latest release, (19) crashes in every browser, Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera

As per title, this latest release is a nightmare, just crashes all the time. I've tried in win 7,8, and 10, across range of browsers, same result.

I've done full uninstall/clean re-install, all to no avail.

Are Adobe aware and if so, what are they doing about it?

I have Windows 10 on a Lenvo Yoga 13. I had this same exact problem with the latest flash 19. On EVERY browser, it would freeze, then eventually sometimes show flash player crashed.

It wasnt always like this this, but started at some point. Same exact thing happened to my brother's Yoga 11. After tons of research, I found that people finally found the solution of the audio driver causing the issue. They updated their Realtek Audio driver to "resolve" it. However, my computer does not have a realtek audio driver.

I had to update my Intel Video/Audio driver to the latest, then ALSO, I have a Conexant SmartAudio HD driver that Windows Update installed. I had to uninstall that driver and rollback to the Windows installed generic "High Definition" audio driver, then use Windows 10 tool to block the auto install of the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver. The Conexant driver was the same latest version I found on Lenovo's site for my laptop.

After getting both audio drivers right, my computer now works with Flash again normally.

    ADOBE!!!!

You want all these logs, and have no idea what's going on, etc. Look into why you are having a conflict with Audio drivers!!!! Since it's clearly not just with Realtek but also Conexant, etc.

Hopefully this helps someone else out with this time staking mystery.

I too have a Lenovo Yoga 13 and had the same problem of all browsers freezing.  The issue started in August just after I upgraded to Windows 10 so I assumed the upgraded operating system brought with it some issues.  Over the course of the last FOUR MONTHS I have called Microsoft NINE times and have spent a combined 21 hours on the phone with them trying to fix the issue.  They have tried to remote into my computer seven times and have reimaged it once.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash and all three browsers (Chrome, Edge and Firefox) and just about everything else you could possibly think of.

I then tried your fix of uninstalling Conexant audio driver and my computer has been operating fine.  What a waste of both Microsoft's and my time and money (lost labor costs and lost production).  I don't know how you discovered this but thank you for doing so!

    **********************SOLVED*********************

I'm running Chrome on W7 and tried uninstalling all Flash programs I could find. No result.

I then went to here(I have had problems before) :      C:\Users\[USER]\Application Data\Macromedia         and deleted the whole Flash folder there. No result

I then restarted my computer and HEUREKA!! now flash is working

You don't need the link. It was a cut and paste of a topic from this site.  Just retype the entire phrase in the Adobe Search box.

I don't do games so can't address that issue.

I am getting the same problem, pages freeze, when playing FB games, or going to a grey screen saying to reload, AND memory starts to leak, along with an increase with dick usage, bot which have only occurred with the latest update...

Been having this exact problem since the v19 update (Lenovo Flex 2, Windows 10), tried pretty much everything to no avail.  Just updated my Realtek High Definition Audio drivers as ms_ohio suggested (downloaded the driver updating tool from the Lenovo website) and that seems to have solved the problem so far, thank goodness. What a pain.

I was suffering through pretty much the same situation with a reasonably new Dell laptop running Windows 7.  Really maddening, but reached a peak yesterday when every browser on my laptop had issues with Flash, including using Adobe Connect, which is mission critical. After reading many posts, and trying suggested fixes like turning off hardware acceleration (how can one do that if you can't load any Flash and therefore can't right-click to get to the settings? - seems like a chicken and egg scenario), turning off protective storage, etc.  I pretty much did all of what was suggested here: Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again | Firefox Help‌‌.   But, as Flash would crash when I loaded the page suggested, I could not access the settings to make some changes.  None of that helped.  I also uninstalled and downgraded Flash and installed the beta release of Firefox.  No dice on all accounts.  That made me pause to wonder.  Anyway, I read something somewhere and got lucky when I upgraded my Realtek High Definition Audio driver and all of my problems went away.  Not sure that I get that, but for me these issues only appeared recently (i.e. after October flash and windows updates) and they were occurring in all of my web browsers.  Hope this helps someone even if it does not explain why.

"" I upgraded my Realtek High Definition Audio driver ""

I also went through this process, updated all relevant audio and graphics drivers. It appeared to work initially until Flash player needed to run on more than one occasion. Then it crashed again. Single use in a tab/window seems ok, multiple use in tabs/windows - it crashes as previous screen shots I posted clearly show.

I am also seeing major crashes. It's been three days since I've been able to play ANY of my games on Facebook. Flowershop, Fairy Mix, and Mahjong Trails. I am very quickly going insane as I am going through a lot of pain right now after some dental surgery so I can't really concentrate on any of my other usual hobbies because my brain is too dulled by drugs. is there anything that can be done about this?

The silence from Adobe is deafening.

This latest release is still crashing all over the place.

I've been running v19 for months now but I'm not seeing consistent (or frequent crashes).  I'm using Windows 10 with Chrome, Firefox and Edge browsers.  We'll need specific steps to reproduce to have a chance at addressing this.

I don't know how you've been running Ver 19 for months. It only came out as an update on my systems here just about 10 days ago. (UK)

Since installing its done nothing but crash, as it has yet again today in Chrome, IE, Firefox and now even the new Edge Browser in win 10.

I don't get any error messages, just a simple message saying Flash player has crashed and an option to reload..

I see it says staff under your name, I presume that's how you've been using it for months before the public get it?

..... and still it crashes all over the place.

It's not just on my 2 pc's and laptop either. My brothers pc, his son and daughters laptops, also has flash ver 19 crashing continuously as well.

This has to be one of the worst, if not THE worst, updates I can remember.

If its not security issues with Flash its stability. The sooner html5 becomes universally used hence doing away with Flash, the better.
