Too many adobe flash player installer on my mac

Question

I always update my adobe flash player when im requested to. The issue is that it collects the installer icons, what i mean is, at the time of updating my adobe it downloads a new installer instead of replacing the old one and when i wan to trash the old ones, my macbook air says that can't trash it cause those items are in use. How can i erase those old adobe flash payer installers and how can i prevent it from happening. Thank you !!

You should be able to unmount the mounted DMG images from the desktop after installation completes and then trash the old installer. Alternatively, you can go to Disk Utility (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app) and unmount the mounted disk images that way and then trash the previous installation files. If it still returns a message stating the file is in use you can restart your system making sure to uncheck the 'Reopen windows when logging back in' check-box. Restarting the system will terminate any active processes that may have a connection to an installer file.
