Trouble installing and uninstalling Flash Player for Mac 10.4.11

Hello,

I have a Macbook Intel Core Duo Version 10.4.11

I am running Firefox 3.6.13

The problem is when I download the new version of Flash and I go to press the install button, it does nothing.

I have tried to uninstall my old version of Flash which is 9.0 but again it does nothing when I press the uninstall button.

Can someone please help?

Hi, I just noticed that you said the Uninstall won't activate. If you are using the Mac Troubleshooting Guide, be sure you don't use the scroll feature of your mouse. It will change the OS that you selected. Also be sure to follow the instructions as you go along. All windows must be closed, including the Safari browser window and any other browser you are using. The screen shots and instructions seem to be very clear to me.

I'm using a Macbook so I'm not using a mouse.

Thanks for the help but I've done what you're suggesting before.

I have attempted many times to either install or uninstall Flash but nothing happens.

I have all my browsers closed and the only window open is the Flash Uninstall window and it still doesn't work.

Is there anyone with a Mac/Macbook that had this problem before that can help me out?

Hi, I'm not familiar with Mac. But this Mac Troubleshooting Guide has Uninstall information and Install information along with screenshots that should help you.

Thanks for the reply.

I have gone through those steps before and it doesn't seem to fix my problem.

When I press the INSTALL button it does not begin to install, it does absolutely nothing.

Hi, If you have already Uninstalled then you can use this link. Maybe it will work for you. I know that you have to close all browser windows when Uninstalling and Installing tho.

I have also read that after an Install Permission Repair must be use. I don't know if this is needed before an Uninstall or not.
