Trouble Installing Flasher Player

Question

Tried to play a game and was alerted that if I was receiving an error loading that I needed to update my Flasher Player.  When I tried to udate I received this message "NOTE:Newer version already installed".  Went into my control panel and uninstalled Flash Player and tried to reinstall but receive the same message.  Flash Player is not listed in program files in control panel.  I have a 32 bit system and use Vista.  What am I doing wrong?

Try running the uninstaller first: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Then download the offline installers from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_header
